One of the services that we offer is same-day crowns. And something we've found about that is our patients appreciate that more than I ever thought they would: to be able to come into an appointment and get a crown done. If we have to put a temporary on somebody and then have 'em back in two to three weeks to put a crown on, even though it's just a 15 or 20 minute appointment down the road, what we've found is that for patients to take time off of work to come down here to have that appointment, possibly be numbed up, and then get them back to work, it ends up taking a couple of hours out of their day just for that seed appointment. And when we started to offer the same-day crowns, we found that the patients appreciated that so much and they would come and ask for that. And we found that they would send their friends and other patients in just to get a crown done here because they could get it done in the same day.
You know, we had a patient that called in and they were getting on a plane and flying out at 11 o'clock that morning. They were not able to get into their dentist, and they called us. And she stopped in and she'd had a crown come off and she'd lost it, and she was having pain with the tooth. And we were able to numb her up, we scanned it and designed a new crown, and we were able to cement the crown and get her outta here. And she caught her plane and made it to the conference that she was going to in Indiana. And those patients are so grateful. We've got gifts sent back to us, a big gift basket, for being able to do something like that for somebody; they just really appreciate it.
